Our standard methods of shipment within the continental United States are United Parcel Service (UPS), FedEx and the US Postal Service (USPS). In some cases we must choose the shipping carrier based upon the warehouse from which your merchandise is shipped. If your order must be shipped a specific way, please make sure to note that in the "Comments" section during checkout.
Orders placed during normal business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CT, Monday through Friday are usually processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days (M-F) with the exception of the Christmas holiday season during which time customers should expect shipping delays up to 5 days (some exceptions apply like dog boxes, which are built to order and other larger/heavier items that must go LTL freight). When your is shipped we will send you a Shipment Confirmation notice via e-mail which will include the carrier and tracking number so you are fully informed of the status of your order.
Many companies charge you shipping fees based on the total dollar amount of your order, but we don't feel that's a fair way to handle our business. Our shipping charges are calculated based on actual product weight and dimensions using shipping calculators provided by UPS and USPS, so you will never be overcharged for shipping and we will never charge you an extra handling fee on standard items!
¤ If your item must ship by a specific method and nothing else is acceptable, please note that in the order "comments" section so that we can ensure your order is delivered the way you want.
¤ Some items are shipped directly from our manufacturers and/or from the closest warehouse to help you save on shipping expenses. This may cause parts of your order to arrive in separate packaging and at different times and maybe even via different carriers. Please allow additional time for delivery if you receive a package containing a partial order.
¤ Items which are large in size or are very heavy will require additional shipping charges depending on the size and weight of the shipment. These items will include a Zone Chart on the product description page from which you can select your shipping zone based on the delivery state. The appropriate shipping amount for your delivery zone will be added to your shopping cart as part of the item's total cost.
¤ Due to distance, please allow 1-2 additional days for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.
¤ We recycle shipping boxes. Don't be surprised if you receive a box that appears to be used second-hand. We save our shipping boxes and reuse them, not only because it's cost effective, but we are doing our part to keep this stuff out of our landfills.
If an item you have ordered is out of stock, we will notify you via e-mail that the item is on backorder along with an estimated arrival date to our warehouse if available. At that time you may opt to cancel your order by contacting Customer Service or you may wait for the item to be restocked into our inventory. Rest assured, our first priority is to fill our backorders, so when your item is back in stock, your order will be filled and shipped ahead of all other orders for that day. We will send you a Shipment Confirmation notice via e-mail when your order has been shipped.
Freight Line Shipping (LTL)
Large or heavy items that cannot ship via UPS or USPS must ship via a Freight Line Service, Location to Location. Examples of these items would include dog boxes, gun safes, pet fencing, etc. Please allow extra time for delivery of these items of up to 4 weeks.
Orders shipped via Freight Lines to a residential address are delivered curbside. The Freight company will generally assess additional fees for a residential delivery and prefer to ship to your local receiving dock.
Reporting Damaged Items or Lost Shipments
If you receive a package that was obviously damaged in shipment, please contact us right away to start a damage claim. Damaged merchandise must be reported within 5 days and we'll arrange for reshipment of your merchandise if necessary.
We are not responsible for damage caused by an LTL freight carrier. Any items shipped via LTL freight which arrived in damaged condition should be refused and sent straight back to the manufacturer for replacement. By signing for the merchandise, you are stating that the item was received in an ACCEPTABLE condition and also releases the carrier from any damage liability. We cannot be held liable if you sign for an item which was damaged in shipping.
