The Astro Dog Tracking System...
The system includes a full-featured, rugged, waterproof, handheld GPS device and a wireless transmitter collar, called the DC 40. To get started, you just take the Astro system outdoors and turn on the handheld and transmitter collar to acquire GPS satellite signals. Then attach the DC 40 collar to your dog and you're ready to turn him loose - no other set up or subscription is required. Tough enough to work wherever your dog goes, transmitting his location up to seven miles away, depending on terrain. Each Astro handheld unit can track as many as 10 dogs wearing the DC 40 transmitter collar at a distance of up to seven miles away.

Details of the DC 40 Improvements...
The DC 40 combines a high-sensitivity GPS receiver and a VHF antenna, all in one small transmitter. A bright, orange polyurethane collar makes for great visibility, extreme durability and easy maintenance so you can focus on the hunt. The redesigned charging contacts are flush with the unit, so they don’t get clogged with dirt and mud. A new flashing LED-charging indicator lets you know when the battery is charged and ready to go. You can mount an e-collar receiver next to the DC 40, eliminating the need for two collars on the dog. A Collar Lock option uses a four-digit PIN number that helps prevent others with Astro receivers from tracking your dog’s whereabouts.
